Capacity-building workshop “Community-based inventorying on local and national level”
November 16-23, 2020 – online
The capacity-building workshop on “Community-based inventorying on local and national level” will be held on 16-23 November in a virtual modality due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The workshop is organized by the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO jointly with the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture”, the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, the National Union of Folk-Art Masters of Ukraine, and Odesa oblast center for Ukrainian culture.
Experts from of Odessa, Kyiv, Riga together with the UNESCO facilitators – Ms. Anita Vaivade and Mr. Oleksandr Butsenko will discuss topics such as application of ethics in the community-based inventorying and work with the community, reorganization and selection of information, methodology for organizing information for elements for ICH etc. During the training, will be considered an example of fieldwork, which will then be used for discussion in working groups.
