Международен семинар „Нови технологии и нематериално културно наследство“
12 октомври 2017 година, Етнографски музей, Белград
Регионалният център за опазване на нематериалното културно наследство в Югоизточна Европа под егидата на ЮНЕСКО в сътрудничество с Етнографски музей в Белград ще организира международен семинар „Нови технологии и нематериално културно наследство“. Семинарът е част от програмата на 26-ия Международен фестивал на етнографския филм и ще се проведе на 12 октомври 2017 г. в Етнографския музей в Белград. Форумът ще събере заедно експерти от две области – на нематериалното културно наследство и информационни и комуникационни технологии и цели да инициира дискусия и да се споделят добри практики при използването на новите технологии в дейностите за опазване, популяризиране и достъп до нематериално културно наследство.

Nikos Grammalidis
Nikos Grammalidis is a Senior Researcher (Researcher Grade B) at the Information Technologies Institute – Centre of Research and Technology Hellas. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1992 and 2000, respectively. His main research interests computer vision, pattern recognition, multi-view image sequence analysis and intelligent transportation systems. His involvement with those research areas has led to the co-authoring of more than 110 articles in refereed international journals and conferences. He has received the IET Premium Award 2012 and the Euromed 2012 Best Full Paper Award, as a co-author in scientific papers. Since 1992, he has been involved in more than 15 projects funded by the EC and 13 by the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology. He has been the coordinator of many European and National research projects, including the FP7 FIRESENSE project for the protection of cultural heritage sites from fire and extreme weather events and FP7 i-Treasures project on new ways for capturing of Intangible Cultural Heritage using multi-sensor technology and their applications in ICH research and education.
Sara Perry
Sara Perry is Senior Lecturer in Cultural Heritage Management at the University of York, UK, and formerly (January 2012-September 2017) the Department of Archaeology’s Director of Studies of Digital Heritage and Director of Studies of Archaeological Information Systems. Her research centres upon the development, circulation and evaluation of analogue and digital media for archaeology and heritage sites and audiences. Sara leads a series of heritage interpretation programmes at archaeological sites around the world: she is Director of the Visualisation Team at the Neolithic site of Çatalhöyük in Türkiye (www.catalhoyuk.com); she is Co-Investigator on the 2-year Memphis Site and Community Development Project at the UNESCO site of Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt; and from 2013-2017 she coordinated the annual heritage fieldschool at the University of York in England, variously based at the Mesolithic site of Star Carr, the historic site of Breary Banks, and the Roman site of Malton. She is now a co-investigator on the EU-funded EMOTIVE Project (www.emotiveproject.eu), which crafts emotional experiences for visitors to cultural sites using digital devices and common dramatic storytelling tropes (mystery, romance, comedy, and more).
Nikolay Kirov
Nikolay Kirov is Associate Professor in computer science at New Bulgarian University in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has a Ph. D. in Mathematics form the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University „St.Kliment Ochridski“. His research Interests include: Digitization, representation and databases of folk songs (music, notes, text), Astroinformatics, digitization of astronomical photograchic plates, Programming, object oriented programming, databases, Digitization of text documents, searching in binary text images. He was the leader of the scientific project „Information technologies for presentation of Bulgarian folk songs with music, notes and text in a digital library“, funded under contract DTK 02/54/17.12.2009 with National Science Fund of Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science (2009-2013)

Новата инициатива е в партньорство с Международен фестивал на етнографския филм и Регионалния център за опазване на нематериалното културно наследство в Югоизточна Европа под егидата на ЮНЕСКО. Ще бъдат представени документални филми от региона с акцент върху производството и разпространението им.
Boosting documentaries for preservation of intangible cultural heritage

Balkan Documentary Center, IFEF, Belgrade and Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO (Sofia ICH Centre) present: boosting documentaries for preservation of intangible heritage
The Balkan Documentary Center (BDC) is among the main facilitators for the documentary scene in the region by providing high-profile training, expert support and networking possibilities for film professionals. BDC has been recognized as innovative link between the Balkan region and the rest of Europe and stays behind two acclaimed training programmes – DISCOVERIES for documentary projects in development, and DOCU ROUGH CUT BOUTIQUE for docs in a rough-cut stage. In the framework of Sofia ICH Centre’s roundtable, we will present our new pitching and training professional forum for documentaries dedicated to intangible cultural heritage. The new initiative is in partnership with IFEF and Sofia ICH Centre. The presentation will also cover the prospect of documentaries from the region – in terms of production and distribution.

OLIVER SERTIC (Croatia) – documentary producer and distributor for RESTART, Croatia. He is programming director of Dokukino, Zagreb and director of Liburnia Film Festival. He is the co-founder of the Amateur Film Review – RAF and the Autonomous cultural centre – Attack!
